REYNALDO LUIS VILLARREAL
Reynaldo Luis Villarreal, 88, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2016
at a local hospital.
Mr. Villarreal was a veteran of the Cold War Era in which he served
with the United States Air force from 1945 to 1947. He served
with the 36th Fighter Squadron in Kyushu, Japan.
He later used his culinary techniques and applied his knowledge as
a Cook's helper in the Air force.
He was honorably discharged in 1947.
After his tour of duty he returned to Laredo and was employed with the
Laredo Air force Base with the maintenance department for numerous
years. He then was employed with the maintenance department of the
Webb County Tax Assessors Office of Patricia Barrera for over 30 years.
After his 30 years of service, he retired to enjoy his downtime with
family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife of over 66 years of marriage, Maria
F. Villarreal and by his brother Alberto Villarreal.
He is survived by his children: Luis (Alma) Villarreal Jr., Reynaldo
(Noemi) Villarreal, Maria Luisa (Ricardo) Sauceda and Rodrigo Villarreal.
Grandchildren: Luis Villarreal Jr., Juan Jose (Melissa) Villarreal,
Reynaldo Villarreal Jr., Rudy Villarreal, Priscilla Villarreal, Ricardo
(Elia Martinez) Sauceda Jr. and Roland Sauceda.
Great-grandchildren: Jacob, Cleo, Genoveva and David Villarreal,
Jasmine, Juan Jose Jr., Julia and Johnathan Villarreal, Raquel, Darren,
Cory, Bryan, Riley, Krystal Marie, Brandy Renay and Leah Nicole.
Brothers and Sisters: Guadalupe Peralta, Dora Gutierrez and Pedro
Villarreal.
Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapel, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2016 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Martin de Porres Catholic Church. Committal Services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
