Rita E. Amaro, 87, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2026 in Laredo, Texas.

Mrs. Amaro was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Issac Amaro and Maria G. Amaro.
Brothers, Antonio Amaro, Roberto Amaro and Isaac Amaro.

She is survived by her siblings, Cruz Arriaga, Edmundo Amaro (Lydia), Isabel A. (Hector) Rodriguez, Sonic Paez and Pedro Amaro (Veronica).

Also surviving her are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
