ROBERTO R. DIAZ

Roberto R. Diaz, 91, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. Diaz was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and was a long life resident of Skidmore, Texas.

He served in the United States Army and was a member of the Army Reserve. He will be dearly missed .

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vicente and Trinidad Diaz.

His beloved wife, Virginia V. Diaz.

Son, Francisco Javier Diaz.

Grandson, Zachary Castillo.

Sister, Jesusa Diaz.

Brother, Julian (Norma) Diaz Sr.

Niece, Diana Diaz.

Nephews, Julian Diaz Jr. and Diego Diaz.

Also preceding him are other extended family members.

He is survived by his sons, Demetrio Castillo Jr., of San Antonio and Israel Castillo, of Forth Worth, Texas.

Siblings-in-Law, Norma Diaz, Susana Gonzalez, Carmen Vasquez, Margarita Parhm and Refugio Vasquez Jr.

6 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Also surviving him are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Following the ordinance by the State of Texas, visitation will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.

It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and a Liturgy of the Word, officiated by Rev. Deacon Ray Guevara will be held at 11 a.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Committal services and interment, with full military honors, will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
