Roberto Martinez was called by the Lord, to his final resting place in Heaven on December 25, 2020, at the age of 70.

He was born on February 21, 1950, in San Luis Potosi, Mexico and was a lifetime resident of Laredo, Texas. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed life with his wife, children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Alicia G. Martinez.

Children: Roberto C. Martinez (Karla) and Leticia Martinez.

Grandchildren: Kathya Isabella Martinez, Roberto Carlos Martinez and Liliana Martinez.

Siblings: Ruben Martinez, Celso Martinez (Maxine), Maria Guadalupe Serna (Tele).

He is also survived by 3 nieces, 5 nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Following the Ordinance by the State of Texas, visitations will be limited to 40 people inside our funeral home.

It is preferred for minor children not be allowed to attend services.

Visitation will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020, from 4:00-9:00 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 6 p.m. in the Hernandez Lopez & Sons, Northside Chapels,  800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, 2020. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
