Obituary

ROBERTO PEÑA
Roberto Peña, 80, passed away on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at a local hospital.
Mr. Peña was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served his term from 1963 up until his Honorable Discharge in 1966. He was duly decorated as a Sharpshooter (M1 Rifle), Marksman (Rifle M14) and Marksman (AR .30Cal). He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Canuto and Celia Peña.
Brothers, Israel Peña and Fernando Peña.
Sister, Irma Peña Arechiga.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 51 years of marriage, Bertha Judith Peña.
Daughter, Judy (Joe) Musgrave.
Grandsons, Jonathan Musgrave and Jared Musgrave.
Brother, Humberto (Fernandina) Peña.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held Thursday, May 30, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home chapel on Friday, May 31, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated 9:00 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
