RODOLFO MERCADO

Rodolfo Mercado, 71, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 at a local hospital.

Mr. Mercado was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad and Patrocinia Mercado.

Son, Esteban Mercado.

Brothers, Trinidad Mercado Jr., Manuel Mercado and Jose Luis Mercado.

Sister, Gloria Imelda Escalante.

Niece, Maria de la Luz Mercado.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 52 years of marriage, Maria Concepcion Mercado.

Children, San Juanita (Julian Hernandez) Mercado, Maria Zulema (Jose) Ortiz, Rodolfo (Amanda) Mercado Jr., Jesus (Maria) Mercado, Maria Concepcion (Jesse) Perez and Luis Trinidad (Ana) Mercado.

33 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.

Sisters, Maria del Carmen Mercado, Maria de los Angeles Sowell and Elia Lamar Mercado.

Brother, Carlos (Maria Isabel) Mercado.

Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Southside Chapel, Loop 20 and Zapata Hwy. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Santa Rita De Casia Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
