RODOLFO MONSIVAIS JR. Rodolfo Monsivais, Jr., 49, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at a local hospital. Mr. Monsivais was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for most of his life. Rudy was a man of simple taste who enjoyed the little things in life. His passions were music, freedom and his favorite hobby, "Scratch off Lottery Tickets". He is preceded in death by his Brother, John F. Monsivais. Maternal grandfather, Natividad Alva. Paternal grandparents, Miguel and Maria Monsivais. Uncle, Raul Moncivais. He is survived by his parents, Rodolfo and Guadalupe Monsivais. Brother, Jose Antonio (Clementina) Monsivais. Sister, Nora (Antonio) Tello. Nieces and Nephews, Jose Antonio Monsivais, Jr., Bianca Monsivais, Sammy Monsivais, Jocelyn Monsivais, Jonathan Monsivais and Jose Antonio (Maribel) Tello. Maternal grandmother, Guadalupe Alvarez. Also surviving him are uncles, aunts, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. A Religious Service will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2014 in the funeral home chapel. Committal services and interment will immediately follow the service in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
