ROGELIO MARTINEZ MENDEZ
Rogelio Martinez Mendez, 71, passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 209 in Laredo, TX doing what he loved to do at Los Ojuelos Ranch.
Rogelio Martinez Mendez was born in General Cepeda, Coahuila. He then moved to Mirando City, TX where he lived and worked for more than 40 years as a ranch hand at Los Ojuelos Ranch. He had also been a resident of Oilton, TX the remainder of his life.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Juan Martinez and Maria Mendez along with his two brothers Roberto Martinez and Armando Martinez.
Rogelio is survived by his loving wife of almost 50 years of marriage, Maria De Los Angeles Martinez Lira of Oilton, TX; two sons, Cesar Martinez of Greenville, South Carolina, Juan Carlos (Esmeralda) Martinez of Oilton, TX and three daughters, Gabriela De Los Angeles Martinez (Jorge Luis) of Guadalupe , Nuevo Leon, Maria Magdalena Martinez of Guadalupe, Nuevo Leon and Sandra Patricia Ruiz of Greenville, South Carolina.
He is also survived by his brother, Juan Manuel Martinez (Aurora Marines) of Saltillo, Coahuila, sister, Minerva Martinez de Soto (Gerardo Soto) of Saltillo, Coahuila, brother Eliseo Martinez (Francisca Lopez) of Charlotte, North Carolina, sister Blanca Estela Martinez de Naves (Manuel Naves) of Cuernavaca, Morelos, sister Luz Maria Martinez de Valdez (Raul Valdez +) of Saltillo, Coahuila, sister, Rosa Martinez de Rodriguez (Lauro Rodriguez) of Fonterra, Coahuila and brother Anselmo Martinez (Josefina Aleman) of Charlotte, North Carolina.
Ten grandchildren: Rebeka Ayala Martinez, Sedrick Alessander Martinez, Sandra Jhajayra Ruiz, Lydia Alejandra Martinez, Juan Carlos Martinez Jr., Julio Cesar Martinez, Emily Martinez, Mia Martinez, Luis Fernando Esperilla and Rogelio Ruiz.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2019 from 4 p.m to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Committal services will be held on a later date.
