Obituary

ROLANDO GUERRERO Rolando Guerrero joined our Lord in his Heavenly Kingdom on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the age of 77 years. He was a man of great faith who served Our Lord and his church in a loving manner. Mr. Guerrero served in the U.S. Navy for three years and seven months, during the Korean Conflict. He was stationed in Miramar, San Diego, California and served overseas for one year and seven months. Mr. Guerrero was honorably discharged and awarded the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Guerrero was employed at the Coca-Cola Bottling Co. for forty-five years. He was a lifetime member of the PTA served as a president at J.Z. Leyendecker Elementary School. He was also very active and served as president of the Martin High School Band Parents Association. Mr. Guerrero was preceded in death by his parents, Encarnacion (Concepcion) Guerrero, Sisters, Aurora Martinez, Maria L. Guerrero, Juanita Gomez, Carmen Cardenas, Josefina Bernal and Alicia Morales. Brothers, Wenceslao Guerrero, Arturo Guerrero, Miguel I. Guerrero and Encarnacion Guerrero, Jr. Mr. Guerrero is survived by his beloved wife Esther Guerrero, with whom shared a blessed marriage of 55 years. Daughters, Elia G. Estrada, Maria Guerrero-Parker (Michael), and Eliza E. Fierro (Fred). Grandchildren, Vanessa Estrada, Antonio Olivares, III., Tamara Estrada, Gabrielle Fierro, Juliette Fierro and Ana Parker. Brother; Leopoldo Guerrero (Gloria) and sister, Felipa Reyna (Artemio) and sister-in-law, Mary Lopez (Steve). Also numerous loved nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
