ROSA ELVA ACOSTA
Our beloved mother Rosa Elva Acosta was called by the Lord to her final resting place in
heaven on January 10, 2026 with family by her side at a San Antonio hospital.
She was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was a lifetime resident of Laredo,
Texas. Rosa, was the co-owner for Holiday Bakery, was a loving wife, dedicated mother to
her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who
knew her.
Rosa married to the late Guadalupe Acosta Jr. who were married for 50 years and were
blessed with five beautiful children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Our hearts are
broken and we cannot imagine our lives without our mom. She was everyone's friend, loved
to make jokes and listening to Tejano music on Z93. She was die hard Dallas Cowboy fan.
She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother, sibling and friend. She loved
her family dearly and loved being a wife and mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents Alejandro and Maria E. Villarreal.
Spouse, Guadalupe Acosta Jr., Sons, Manuel E. Montoya and David Acosta. Sister, Maria
Inocencia, Brothers, Enrique Villarreal and Alejandro Villarreal Jr.
She is survived by her Sons, George (Diana) Acosta and Miguel (Elizabeth) Acosta.
Daughter, Veronica Acosta-Martinez. Grandchildren, Kevin (Amanda), Cody (Patricia),
Madison, Matthew, Makayla Acosta, Eben and Danica Martinez. Great grandchildren,
Selena, George, Marceline and Violet Acosta.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
PALLBEARERS: George Acosta, Miguel Acosta, Kevin Acosta, Cody Acosta, Matthew
Acosta, and Eben Martinez.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 4:00 PM- 9:00 PM and a Rosary
will be officiated at 7 PM in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San
Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will be departing the funeral home chapel at 11:30 AM on
Saturday, January 17, 2026. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 12 PM at San Luis Rey Catholic
Church. Committal services and internment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
