ROSA MARIA CORTEZ HINOJOSA

Rosa Maria Cortez Hinojosa, 98, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

Mrs. Hinojosa was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas and had been a resident of Laredo most of her life.

She is preceded in death by her Husband of over 40 years of marriage Amador Hinojosa, her son Juan Ramon Hinojosa, daughter Edith (+Benito) Moriel and by her parents, Jose Cortez and Ricarda Galindo Cortez and by four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her children, Juan Jose (Maria) Hinojosa, Rosa Linda (Lucio) Luna, Victoria Hinojosa, Manuel Alvarez and Amador (Leticia) Hinojosa.

Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

The family would love to extend their most sincere appreciation to Mr. Jorge Jimenez.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 departing from the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.  Holy Mass was celebrated at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Committal Services and interment will be held on a later date.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Juan Hinojosa, Amador Hinojosa, Amador Hinojosa Jr., Mario Molina, Otoniel Compean, Lucio L., David Cedeño Jr. and Jorge A. Jimenez.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Roberto Cruz and Jesus Velasquez.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.
