ROSA MARIA MARES Rosa Maria Mares, 62, passed away on Monday, December 19, 2011 at a local hospital. Mrs. Mares was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for sometime. She was preceded in death by her parents, Valentin and Maria Ochoa. First husband, Jose Luis Mares. Sister, Leticia Ochoa. Brothers, Raul Ochoa and Valentin Ochoa Jr. She is survived by her husband, Elias Garza. Children, Jose Luis Mares Jr., Diana Laura Alvarado, Mario Alberto Mares, Victor Manuel Mares and Erica Yanet Garza. 6 grandchildren. Brothers and Sisters, Roberto Ochoa, Maria Santos Garza, Olga Chavez, Ramiro Ochoa, Oralia Vargas, Deyanira Ramirez, Luis Ochoa, Rosa Elizabeth Ochoa, Hiram Ochoa, Rodolfo Ochoa, Jose Ochoa and Sandra Ochoa. Also surviving her are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased was held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 departing from the funeral home chapel. A Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
