Rosa Maria M. Hernandez

With hearts full of gratitude, love, and sorrow, we announce the passing of Rosa Maria M. Hernandez, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother to over 43 descendants, and a cherished member of her community. She was called home to heaven on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at the age of 95, where she was reunited with the love of her life and welcomed with open arms by her loved ones in heaven.

She departed this world in so much peace, wrapped in an abundance of love. She lived a remarkable life and was known for her deep love, strength, and devotion to her family. She shared countless stories and was admired for her wisdom, wit, savviness, and love of learning. Her infectious laughter brought light and joy to everyone around her.

In her heart, she cultivated a garden for her family
with seeds of love, wisdom, and strength
Filled with such shades of protection
that allowed enough sunshine to brighten days
Through the years, she watched it grow,
always carefully tending to it.

She was a Rose that bloomed just for us
The matriarch of her garden
Standing tall, resilient, fearless,
With such poise and beauty
A pillar of strength
With petals so soft, kind, and generous
Rooted in faith and devotion to her family.

Filled with so much peace and pride in her work
She left us this beautiful garden
filled with the endless love and beauty she once nurtured
Leaving seeds in everyone's hearts
Forever nurturing us
and blooming within each generation to come.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Rosalio Hernandez; her parents, Marcelino and Aurora Martinez; her brothers, Ramon Martinez and Marcelino Martinez Jr.; her sister, Juanita Bosquez; and her daughter-in-law, Zulema Hernandez.

Her legacy is carried by her eleven devoted children: Manuela H. Martinez (Miguel Jr., Deceased), Luis (Rosa) Hernandez, Rosalio (Luz) Hernandez, Daniel (Maria Guadalupe, deceased) Hernandez, Agustin (Diana) Hernandez, Amalia (Mayo) Caceres, Ana (Ricardo) Diaz De Leon, Maria Aurora Hernandez, Patricia Lerma, Adriana Elsa Hernandez, and Gloria Ester (Sergio) Delgado, Jr.
