Obituary

ROSA MELIDA VELA

Rosa Melida Vela, 85, passed away on Saturday, November, 23, 2024.

Mrs. Vela was born in Los Garza, N.L., Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Maria and Amelia Vela.
Her beloved husband, Baldomero Vela.
Son, Antonio Vela.
Also preceding her are her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her children, Susana Vela, Baldomero (Noemi) Vela and Jose Maria (Patricia) Vela.
8 grandchildren. and 16 great grandchildren.
Brothers, Elias (Santos) Vela and Ruben (ISabel) Vela.
Sister, Herlinda Vela.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . Holy Mass was celebrated at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Jose Vela, Tony Vela, Angelo Benavides, Alejandro Alvarez, Evaristo Gallardo, Juan Alvarez, Baldomero Vela and Aizar Vela.
