ROSAMELIA GARCIA Rosamelia Garcia, 82, passed away on Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at her local residence. Mrs. Garcia was born in Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for sometime. She is preceded in death by her parents, Remigio and Rosa Garcia. Brothers, Alfredo Garcia, Juan Garcia and Fructuoso Garcia. Sisters, Gertrudes Villesca and Maria Alvarez. She is survived by her daughter, Gabriela (Mario) Gamez. 2 grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Gamez and Marcos Eduardo Gamez. Sister, Josefa Valdez. Also a special heartfelt gratitude to Champion Care, Altus Hospice, Garza Medical Associates and Dr. Fernando Sanchez Office for their dedication and unconditional years of medical care. Special thanks to her devoted caregivers who gave their time and effort to care for her needs. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
