ROY RIVERA Roy Rivera, 66, passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at a local hospital. Mr. Rivera was born in La Feria, Texas and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for most of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Rivera and Francisca Rodriguez Rivera. Brother, Raul Rivera and by his sisters, Amelia Rivera and Maria Rivera. He is survived by his loving wife, Margarita L. Rivera. Daughters, Ana (Rodolfo) Aranda, Grizelda (Antonio) Pedraza and Brenda (Agustin) Ruiz. 11 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. Siblings, Sara (Armando) Hernandez, Abel (Evelia) Rivera, Rebecca Rivera and Ramiro (Rosa) Rivera. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Saturday morning, October 19, 2013 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northiside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. A Chapel service will begin at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 19, 2013 in the funeral home chapel. Committal services will be held at a later date.
