SALVADOR CARRIZALES JR.
Salvador Carrizales Jr., 83, passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019 at his residence, at the age of 83.
Mr. Carrizales was born in Laredo, Texas in 1936 and was a lifelong resident. For many years he was involved in the Catholic Church. He was a Eucharistic Minister, Marriage Encounter helper, Nocturnal Adoration and also belonged to the Knights of Columbus. At Jamaica time, he would volunteer and be in charge of all electrical wiring for all booths at different Catholic Churches, at the time of their jamaica. Mr. Carrizales was a man of many trades. Nothing was difficult for him, one way or another, he would figure out how to make it work. He was always willing to help everyone in any way he could. He was a type of person to give his shirt off his back, no matter what he was going through, he would put his problems aside. He was a very friendly and talkative person. He enjoyed being with his family and friends. He would always have a good topic to talk about and from the topic came a good long conversation. Mr. Carrizales was a veteran of the United States Army who was inducted in October 1961 and Honorably Discharged in August, 1962. He served in the ARMY ARNGUS AMOR, Co C having reached the rank of Sp5 E-5. He will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beatriz Carrizales.

He is survived by his children, San Juanita C. (Ignacio) Ruiz, Raul (Josefa) Carrizales, Salvador (Frances) Carrizales III, Sonia Yvonne (Jose) Carrizales and David (Sylvia) Carrizales.
13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Siblings, Rosa (Raul) Ortiz, Guadalupe White, Aurora (Jesus) Ortiz, Jose (Dianira) Carrizales, Juanita Burkhart, Julia Martinez, Jesus Alfonso (Nicole) Carrizales and Christobal (Patricia) Carrizales.
Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many, many friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services began departing the funeral home chapel at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 5, 2019. Holy Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church.
Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery with presentation of the United States Flag and full military honors provided by United States Army Honor Guard out of Fort Sam and the 21 Gun Salute and honors provided by the American Legion Honor Guard of Laredo, Texas.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Raul Carrizales, Salvador Carrizales III, David Carrizales, Samuel Carrizales, Juan Carlos Gonzalez Jr., David Carrizales Jr., Fernando Vargas and Luis Villa.
