SALVADOR LOPEZ JR.
Salvador Lopez Jr., 93, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020 in Laredo, Texas.
Mr. Lopez was born in Dolores, Texas and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served his country during WWII. He will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Salvador Lopez Sr. and Angelita C. Lopez.
His beloved wife, Emma Lopez.
Son, Salvador Lopez III.
His brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his children, Guadalupe (Artemio) Peña, Maria Luisa Macias (Rogelio+), Joaquin (Consuelo) Lopez, San Juanita (Lawrence) Bruni and Ricardo (Yolanda) Lopez.
Numerous grandchildren, Artemio (Alejandra) Peña, Yvette (Richard) Gomez, Rogelio (Grace) Macias, Santino Macias, Salvador Macias, Emma (Jose) Duarte, Salvador Lopez IV, Joaquin Lopez Jr., Juan Lopez, Gerardo Lopez, Lisa A. (Andres) Corral, Leslie Lopez and Kimberly Lopez.
Numerous great grandchildren.
Brothers and sisters, Gloria Perez, Jesus Lopez and Rosa Macias.
Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 departing from the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Holy Mass was celebrated at 8 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Laredo City Cemetery.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Art Peña Jr., Joaquin Lopez, Rogelio Macias Jr., Santino Macias, Gerardo Lopez, Juan Salvador Macias, Juan Lopez and Tomas Aguilar.
Honorary Pallbearers were: Martin Lopez, Humberto Lopez, Michael D. Overby, Artemio Peña, Lawrence Bruni and Gilberto Gamboa.
