Obituary

SALVADOR VASQUEZ SR. Salvador Vasquez, Sr., 84, was called upon by The Lord Tuesday, April 22, 2014 surrounded by his loves ones. " I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live, and everyone who lives and believes in me will never die." John 11:25-26. We thank the Lord for these 84 years of life he was blessed with. He was humble, strong, hard working man. He would not want us to focus on the sadness of his death, but instead on the happiness and joy he brought into ours lives. He will always be remembered by those who loved him dearly. Salvador was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather, brother, son, great-grandfather and friend. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Octaviano and Lilia Vasquez, his brothers Maximilio Vasquez and Roberto Vasquez and his son Alberto Vasquez. Salvador Vasquez is survived by his siblings, Octaviano Jr. (Consuelo deceased) Vasquez, Alfredo (Eva) Vasquez, Juan (Yolanda) Vasquez, Jose Luis (Sandra) Vasquez, Carlos (Ana Maria deceased) Vasquez. Fernando (Irma) Vasquez and left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of 65 years Paulina R.Vasquez and his children, Salvador Jr. (Guillemina) Vasquez, Reymundo (Carol) Vasquez, Yolanda (Alberto)Charles, Maria Del Rosario (Daniel) Rodriguez, Mario Vasquez, Felipe Javier Vasquez, Salvador Amado (Cecilia) Vasquez. His 15 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren. A special heart felt Thanks to his nurses Pauline R. Vasquez (granddaughter), Maria Ibarra and Giselda Palomo. Also a special gratitude to the Staff of Heavenly Nurses Home Health Care and to the loving care of Dr. Mateo Reyes and staff. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 25, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
