SAMUEL MEDINA III Samuel Medina III, 49, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 in Laredo, Texas. Mr. Medina was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a resident for all of his life. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Samuel Medina and San Juanita Mendiola. Maternal grandparents, Manuel Rodriguez and Ignacia Rodriguez. He is survived by his wife, Elida Medina. Daughters, Monica Medina and Veronica Medina. Step-son, Cesar Alejandro (Connie) Vela. Granddaughters, Ashley Vela and Alexa Vela. Father, Samuel Medina Jr. Mother, Lucia Medina. Brother, Ricardo Medina. Sisters, Leticia (Jaime) Hernandez, Norma Medina and Susana Medina. Nephews & Nieces, Ricardo Medina Jr., Julio C. Luna, Lizette Luna, Eduardo Luna, Kassandra Villanueva, Carlos Valdez Jr., Brandon Valdez, Briana Lizette Luna, Juan Rodolfo Elias and Kaylone R. Luna. Also surviving him are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins that loved him very much and many friends. Visitation was held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:25 a.m. on Friday, July 6, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Vicente De Paul Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
