SAMUEL OLIVEROS
Samuel Oliveros, 71, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 15, 2019, after a long illness.
He was active with the American Heart Association and the Knights of Columbus.
Mr Oliveros worked as a Registered Nurse at Laredo Medical Center. His last employment was at the Canseco School of Nursing at TAMIU.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna C. Garcia.
Father, Innocencio Oliveros.
Sister, Estela Oliveros.
His close friend, Jose S. Reyna.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 49 years of marriage, Guadalupe G. Oliveros.
Children, Edna C . Oliveros Mickel (Charles), Claudia G. Gonzalez (Roberto) and Samuel Oliveros Jr.
Grandchildren, Catherine G. Mickel, Gabriela Gonzalez and Roberto C. Gonzalez Jr.
Siblings, Victor Oliveros (Rosa Maria), Felix Inocencio Oliveros (Maria Delfina), Pedro  Oliveros (Virginia), Julio Roberto Oliveros (Elvia), Alma Oliveros, Rodolfo Oliveros (Vidalia), Gerardo Oliveros (Irma), Lucina Vega (David), of Independence, Oregon.
Nephews, Victor M. Oliveros Jr. (Aliza), Alberto R. Oliveros (Erica) and Jorge A. Oliveros.
Cousins, Raul Garcia and Samuel Castillo.
Close friends, Irma Reyna, Melissa Reyna, Jose S. Reyna Jr. (Diana) Jose S. Reyna III, Christine Ann Reyna, Christian Reyna, Michelle Reyna, Denise Jones, Gage Jones, Chloee Jones, Cheryl and Arturo Andrews.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Isaias Garza for his compassionate care.
Thank you to Hospice Serenity personnel, for their supporting care. To all the many friends that paid a visit, prayed for Sammy or simply stayed by our side during sad times, we remain grateful to you.

To my children Edna, Claudia and Sammy, thanks for being there for Dad and loving him so much. A big thanks to Robby and Charles for all the support you gave to your father in Law.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 4 p.m. to  9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 19, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
