Samuel Sanchez's Obituary
SAMUEL SANCHEZ SR.
Samuel Sanchez Sr., 82, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at a local hospital.
Mr. Sanchez was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy and will be
missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Teresa Sanchez.
His beloved wife, who passed away on February 8, 2017, Maria R. Sanchez.
Son, Samuel Sanchez Jr.
Brother, Jose "Roberto" Sanchez Jr.
Sister, Juanita Sanchez.
He is survived by his children, Maria Teresa (Raul) Buruato and Ricardo (Dalila) Sanchez.
Grandchildren, Liza (Joe) Ojeda, Tracy Denise Buruato, Erika L. Sanchez, Samantha (Fernando) Soto III, Samuel (Maribel) Sanchez III and Mia Sanchez.
Great-grandchildren, Kayla Ferral, Shiloh Ferral, Mateo Gonzalez, Fernando Soto IV, Sophia Soto, Aeden Soto and Samuel Sanchez IV.
Daughter-In-Law, Elena S. Sanchez.
Sisters, Celia Rangel and Olga Estrada.
Sister-In-Law, Eva Sanchez.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, May 1, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 12 p.m. at Christ the King Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
