After an absolute devotion to her husband and family, San Juana (Juanita), Arredondo entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at the age of 70. Our pillar of strength will now reunite with the love of her life on what would have been their 55th wedding anniversary. Our beloved mother will be a beam of light from heaven as she reunites with her loving husband, brother, grandchildren, and many friends.
Our mother was an excellent cook and baker. Our family's gathering was never short of delicious and creative meals, it was her way of getting the family together. If she didn't have food ready when you visited, she'll quickly make something cause you wouldn't leave with an empty stomach. The holidays were especially festive with her love of decorating and her will to make lots of sweets and her delicious authentic tamales, which many requested from her. Her pots, pans, and recipes will be treasured forever.
Juanita married at a very young age but never fell short of her motherly duties. She raised four children, four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Her will to keep the family together regardless of the ups and downs is something we will always admire and cherish forever. San Juana (Juanita) Arredondo was preceded in death by her husband, Agustin Arredondo, of 51 years of marriage, Jose Luis Perez, grandson, Vanessa Perez, granddaughter, Ruben Castillo, brother and Candelario Rodriguez, brother. She is survived by her loving siblings Luis (Esther) Rodriguez and Frances Castillo; her adoring children, Norma Arredondo, Agustin ( Leticia) Arredondo, Nora Arredondo, Sylvia Arredondo, Felicia Lee Arredondo, Cyndia Marie Arredondo, and Jose Luis Arredondo. Grandchildren Ruben Perez, Laura Arredondo, Christopher & Abigail Arredondo and Elexis, Elyssa, and Eliana Cordova. Great grandchildren, Mia, Kayhla & Jocelyn Perez and Eli, Mason & Ian Dover, Ruben Rocha, Mathew Perez, and Nevaeh Navarette. Let's not forget her four loving pets, Lola, Cookie, Rocky, and Jingles.
The family would like to express their profound gratitude to our extended family and our beloved family friend Estella, who always made time to visit our beloved mother.
