SAN JUANA LARA

San Juana Lara, 77, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024.

Mrs. Lara was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico and was a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, of over 48 years of marriage, Hipolito Lara.
Parents, Filiberto Contreras and Emma O. Contreras.

She is survived by her children, Hipolito Lara Jr. (Maria), Carlos Lara (Fabiola), Cristina Lara (Alberto) and Rosalia Lara (Javier).
Grandchildren, Hipolito Lara III (Alma), Luis Enrique Lara (Aleida), Marco Antonio Lara, Sofia Lara, Crystal Lee Lara (Valentin), Carlos Lara Jr., Cristina Perales, Jasmine Barron and Alejandro Gamboa III.
Great grandchildren, Keilani Marie Lara.
2 great great grandchildren on the way.
Siblings, Patricia Contreras (Marcos), Paco Contreras (Erica), Martin Contreras and Mario Contreras.

Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Southside  Chapel Loop 20 and Zapata Highway. Holy Mass was celebrated at San Vicente De Paul Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Hipolito Lara Jr., Alejandro Gamboa III, Luis Enrique Lara, Carlos Lara Jr., Marco Antonio Lara, Cristina Perales, Hipolito Lara Jr. and Carlos Lara.

HONORARY PALLBEARERS: Jasmin Barron, Cristelee Lara, Sofia Lara and Keilani Lara.
