SAN JUANITA MARTINEZ

San Juanita Martinez, 72, passed away on Friday, February 3, 2023, surrounded by her
family.

Mrs. Martinez was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She went on to finish her degree
and work for Laredo Independent School District as an Educator and supervisor to the
Migrant Program which took her throughout Laredo Schools. She retired after serving
the school district many years and enjoyed her retirement with her family. Janie as she
was known to all was a very caring and generous person to everyone and was a retired
LISD migrant supervisor. She had a beautiful spirit and always loved to have

conversations with everyone she interacted with and was full of life. Rest peacefully in
paradise Mama. We love you with all our heart and soul.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Antonio Garza and Isabel Garza,
her brothers, Rodolfo Garza I, Rodolfo (Esmerlinda) Garza II, Roberto (Magdalena)
Garza, Hector (Irma) Garza and by her sister, Rosalinda (John) Huffenus.

She is survived by her loving husband, of over 44 years of marriage, Manuel Martinez Jr.
Her Son, Daniel (Marie) Manuel Martinez Jr.
Her grandchildren, Daisy Ramirez and Mia Quintanilla, great-grandchildren, Jesselyn De
Leon ad Jayleen De Leon.
Her Brother and Sister, Irene (Armando) Ortiz and Antonio (Janette) Garza Jr.

Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, 800
Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.
