SAN JUANA O. CHAVEZ
San Juana O. Chavez, 87, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in Laredo, Texas.
Mrs. Chavez was born in Nuevo Laredo, Mexico and was a lifelong resident of Laredo, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and San Juana Oyervides.
Her beloved husband, Ruperto Chavez.
Son, David Chavez.
Brother, Jesus Oyervides.
Sisters, Olivia (Rafael) De Leon and Eloisa (Alfonso) Peña.
Son-in-Law, Dave O'Dell.
Granddaughter, Mckenzie O'Dell.
She is survived by her children, Teresa (Joaquin) Castillo, Norma (Reynaldo) Ortegon, Susie O'Dell, Diana (Juan Jose) Rodriguez, Patricio Antonio Ramos, Veronica (Lorenzo) Vasquez and Rolando (Xiomara) Chavez.
20 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 1 great- great-grandson.
Sister-in-Law, Noemi Oyervides.
Also surviving her are other relatives and many friends.
Mrs. Chavez's Family would like to give a special "Thank You" to all of the nurses and staff at La Esperanza Hospice Services, Dr. Armando Hinojosa and his staff, as well as to all of her other home care providers. The family would also like to thank Sheriff Martin Cuellar and the Webb County Sheriff's Dept., Constable Rudy Rodriguez, Constable Harold Devally and Constable Mike Villarreal.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8:05 a.m. on Monday, July 29, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
