SANTIAGO "JIMMY" GARZA
In Loving Memory of Santiago Jimmy Garza -July 26, 1946 - March 6, 2024
We gather to commemorate and celebrate the life of Santiago Jimmy Garza, who left us peacefully at the age of 77.
He was the son of Guadalupe and Palmira Garza. Santiago was a pillar of strength and compassion in our community, a mentor to many, and above all, a devoted family man. His life was a testament to the power of confidence and the importance of family, and had joy and deep commitment to helping others. Santiago proudly served his country before returning to build a life centered around his family. He married as he would say "The love of my life, mi vida" Diamantina Garza, his soulmate and partner, on April 3, 1970. Together, they nurtured a loving home and raised their children with the values of honesty, kindness, and respect—values that Santiago instilled to us every day. Beyond his family, Santiago was a respected and trusted advisor in the building materials and hardware industry. His expertise and ethical approach made him a mentor to many aspiring professionals and business owners. Santiago's guidance helped shape the careers of countless individuals who looked up to him not only as a leader but also as a role model.
Santiago is survived by his wife, DIamantina Garza; his three children, Jimmy Garza, Ericka, her husband Craig Coffey, and Yesenia and her husband Patrick Stolowski and his only sister, Camelia Rendon. He adored his grandchildren, Cole, Jacob, Oliva, Kendal, and his great grandchild MIles.
We invite friends and family to join us in honoring Santiago's legacy at the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024, from 6 pm-9pm, followed by Holy Mass at 10:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date.
As we say farewell to a truly remarkable man, we find comfort in knowing that his influence will resonate for generations to come.
With love and remembrance, The Garza Family
