Santiago Gonzalez's Obituary
SANTIAGO GONZALEZ, Sr.
Santiago Gonzalez, 83, was called by Our Lord Jesus Christ on Monday, June 27, 2016.
He was a man of faith who valued family, honesty, and a job well done.
He was born February 8, 1933 in Mission, Texas, the son of Amador Gonzalez and Dominga Bustamante.
He was united in marriage to Maria Rafaela Garcia.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Amador and Dominga Gonzalez.
His brother, Baldemar Gonzalez and his sister, Angela Barretero.
He is survived by his devoted wife, of 50 years of marriage, Maria Rafaela Garcia.
His children:
Santiago Jr (Minerva) Gonzalez, Jose Luis (Celina) Gonzalez and Leticia (Anthony) Gonzalez and eight grandchildren, and his three sisters Estela Hernandez Gonzalez, Elva Saenz (Roy), and Aurora Gonzalez.
Also surviving him are numerous nieces, nephews, and many other relatives.
Santiago will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the
Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave.
Funeral services will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2016 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
