SANTIAGO MARIO JUAREZ

Santiago Mario Juarez, 87, passed away in McAllen, Texas on Sunday, July 3, 2022.

Mr. Juarez was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was dedicated to law enforcement all of his life. He worked three jobs to support his family of six. He was an avid dancer, who enjoyed life with his wife and his children very much. He enjoyed cooking, especially delicious brisket, and will be dearly missed by all whose lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Lucille Marie Villanueva.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 67 years of marriage, Maria Belia Juarez.

Children, Elizabeth Villanueva, Selma (Agustin) Juarez-Quintana, Belia Marie Juarez, Mario Alberto (Araceli) Juarez, Nora Villarreal and Jose Luis (Jane) Juarez.

Grandchildren, Agustin Quintana Jr., Monica Quintana, Christa Marie Barrera, Arturo Villarreal, Gabriel and Isabella.

Great grandchildren, Lucas Joseph Barrera, Marissa Barrera, Area Villarreal and Elliana Villarreal.

Sister, Carolina (Daniel) Dovalina.

Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home at 8:40 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:15 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. The Family respectfully requests that those in attendance meet at the church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
