Obituary

SANTIAGO VIGIL
Santiago Vigil, 88, passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2020.
Mr. Vigil was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Gavino and Lazara Vigil.
Daughters, Blanca Eliza Vigil and Sandra Sylvia Vigil.
Brothers, Paulino Vigil, Gavino Vigil Jr., Alfonso Vigil and Ascencion Vigil.
Sister, Aleja Vigil.
He is survived by  his loving wife, of 69 years of marriage, Gloria Liendo Vigil.
Children, Diana Barrera, Ricardo (Judy) Vigil Sr., Laura Alicia (Benny) Castellano Jr., Yolanda Vigil, Javier Vigil and Ricardo Javier Vigil.
13 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Following the Ordinance by the State of Texas, visitation will be limited to 25 % of capacity inside our funeral home.
It is preferred that minor children not be allowed to attend services.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2020 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2020. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 8:30 a.m. at San Luis Rey Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
