Santos Juana (Janie) Hill
March 8, 1943 - April 26, 2022
Our beloved Santos Juana (Janie) Hill passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, April 26, 2022. She was a beautiful soul who was devoted to her faith, her family, and her friends. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she blessed.
Preceded in death by: Grandmother Delfina R. Moreno; Mother Manuela Moreno Ibarra; Father Jesus Ibarra; Aunts – Victoria M. Gonzalez, Juana M. (Jose Felix) Martinez and Beatriz R. Moreno; Uncles – Macario Moreno and Francisco (Juanita) Moreno.
Survived by her husband of 61 years George P. Hill, Jr. Her loving daughters Patricia (Guadalupe) Martinez, Sylvia (Everardo) Tapia, and Diana (Wilanne) Stewart-Hill. Her grandchildren Christina (David) Rodriguez, Jorge (Denisse) Martinez, Gabriella (Jose) Pescador,  Javier G. Martinez, Melissa (Justin) Thompson, Elissa Noel Stewart-
Hill. Great grandchildren: Jorge Andres Martinez, Juliana Elise Martinez, Camilla Alessandra Pescador, Natalia Pescador and Sutton Grace Thompson.
She is also survived by brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home at 10 a.m. on Monday, May, 2, 2022. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
