SANTOS MARTINEZ JR. Santos Martinez, 54, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2012 at a local hospital. Mr. Martinez was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo for most of his life. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Alfredo Lozano and Rita Nolasco Lozano. Paternal grandparents, Camilo Zavala and Angelita E. De Zavala. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Martinez. Son, Samuel Fernando Martinez. Parents, Santos and Oralia L. Martinez. Sibilings, Juan (Flor) Martinez, Maria De Los Angeles (Rogelio) Banda, Alfonso Martinez, Ramiro Martinez and Leonel Martinez. Nephews and Nieces, Juan Jose Martinez Jr., Maria De Los Angeles Martinez, Jose Juan Martinez, Jesus Antonio Martinez, Kayla Lee Martinez, Ramiro Martinez Jr., Elvira Martinez, Teresa Banda and Jessica Banda. Also numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Chruch. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
