MR. SANTOS VASQUEZ Santos Vasquez, 79, great husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law and friend went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 7, 2014. Mr. Vasquez will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him, to all his family and those he meet. He is preceded in death by his mom and dad, Pedro Vasquez and Lazara Posada. Brothers and Sisters, Pablo Vasquez, Irene Garcia, Juanita Posada and Manuel Cuellar. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years of marriage, Jovita Vasquez. Sons, Miguel (Gaby) Vasquez of Austin, Jaime (Sandra) Vasquez, and Joe (Patricia) Vasquez. Grandchildren, Gilbert Vasquez, Venessa Rector, Gerardo Vasquez, Nick Placencia, Eric Vasquez, Cassandra Vasquez, Julissa Vasquez and Alan Joe Vasquez. 7 great-grandchildren. Siblings, Pete (Diana) Vasquez of Sinton, Juanita (Miguel) Ortega, Vicenta (Jesus) Moreno of San Antonio and Carlos and Wife Vasquez of Sinton. Sisters-in-Law, Adela Vasquez, Diana Gonzales, Alicia Villalobos and Oralia Trevino. Also surviving him are numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held in the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapel, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin Tuesday morning, March 11, 2014 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
