Obituary

SARA ALICIA ROMERO
Sara Alicia Romero, 69, passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at a local hospital.
Ms. Romero was born in Laredo, Texas and was a lifelong resident. After receiving her bachelor's degree in August, 1994, she was employed as an Administrative Assistant at Laredo Community College and at Texas A&M International University, for numerous years. She later obtained her teaching certification and taught at local elementary and middle schools, both public and private. She will be dearly remembered and missed by all those whose lives she touched.
She is preceded in death by the father of her children, Leandro Martinez.
Father, Gilberto Romero.
Nephew, Braulio Romero.
She is survived by her children, Cristina (Mario)  Vidaurri, Graciela (Eddie) Briseño and Gabriela (Marco) Ortega.
Mother, Margarita A. Romero.
Grandchildren, Gilberto Vidaurri, Gabriel Ortega, Mariela Vidaurri and Amanda Ortega.
Brothers, Gilberto Xavier (Jesusita) Romero, Eduardo David (Rosminda) Romero and Jose Gerardo (Estella) Romero.
Sister, Laura Romero (Roger) Peña.
Also surviving her are numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 3, 2019 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin departing the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, January 4, 2019. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at San Martin De Porres Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a a later date.
