Sergio Alonso Sandoval 1991-2023

Con profundo dolor anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestro querido hermano Sergio Alonso Sandoval.  A los 31 años de edad, nuestro Señor le concedió la paz y eterno descanso el 12 de marzo del 2023.

A Sergio le sobreviven sus amados padres Narciso "Chico" Sandoval y Rosalba López Sandoval.  Él fue el cuarto de cinco hijos.  A Sergio le sobreviven sus queridos hermanos David Sandoval, Javier Sandoval, Claudia Sandoval García, y Jesús Sandoval.  También le sobreviven su abuelita materna y muchos primos, sobrinos, sobrinas, tías y tíos.

Sergio asistió a la preparatoria de Martin High School y la secundaria Christen Middle School.  Sergio tenía un gran sentido de humor.  A él le gustaba sobresalir siendo único y original atrayendo la atención con su alegría, bromas, chistes, y trucos de magia.  El agradecía y apreciaba los pequeños detalles ya que cualquier pequeño detalle lo hacía feliz.  Sergio fue muy noble y el con gusto ayudaba a quien lo necesitaba.  También, Sergio disfrutaba y amaba ir a la playa en nuestros viajes familiares.

Sergio será extrañado por sus familiares y recordado por sus amigos quienes lo conocían por "Checo".  Él era para nosotros mucho más de lo que el llego a entender.  Como aprecio, afecto, y cariño, familiares y amigos le pueden enviar flores a su velorio que llevará a cabo el día jueves 23 de marzo del 2023 de 4:00 p.m. a las 9:00 p.m.  con servicio de oración a las 7:00 p.m. en las capillas de Hernández-López & Sons, 800 Boston St., Laredo, TX 78041 (esquina de Boston St. y San Bernardo Ave.).   Ahí los servicios funerarios comenzaran el día viernes 24 de marzo del 2023 con servicio de oración a las 10:00 a.m. seguido por el sepelio y entierro en el cementerio de la ciudad de Laredo.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved brother Sergio Alonso Sandoval.  At the age of 31, our Lord gave him peace and eternal rest on March 12, 2023.

Sergio is survived by his loving parents Narciso "Chico" Sandoval and Rosalba López Sandoval.  He was the fourth of five children.  Sergio is survived by siblings David Sandoval, Javier Sandoval, Claudia Sandoval García and Jesus Sandoval.  Also surviving him are his maternal grandmother and many cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.

Sergio attended Martin High School and Christen Middle School.  His playful personality brought joy everywhere he went with his laughter, his jokes, and his occasional magic trick.  Sergio had a great appreciation for the little things, even the smallest act of kindness.  By the same token, he was known for extending a selfless helping hand whenever possible.  Sergio also loved to travel especially to the beach on our traditional family trips.

Sergio is mourned by family and friends who knew him as "Checo".  He meant more to us than he ever understood.  As a loving gesture, family and friends can send flowers to his Visitation Service that will be held on Thursday March 23, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. at Hernández-López & Sons Northside Chapels (corner of Boston St. & San Bernardo Ave.).  There, funeral services will begin on Friday March 24, 2023 with Prayer Service at 10:00 a.m.  Committal and interment will then follow at the City of Laredo Cemetery.
