SERVANDO RODRIGUEZ JR.

Servando Rodriguez Jr., 85, passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2024 in Laredo, Texas.

Mr. Rodriguez was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a lifelong resident. Servando was a veteran of the US Army and was duly decorated with the MARKSMAN (CARBINE) EXPERT (PISTOL 45) BAS MSL (HER LCHR) awards. He was Honorably discharged. He later worked at Mercy Hospital  and Laredo Medical Center as a Payroll Clerk for numerous years. He will be dearly missed by all those whos lives he touched.He is preceded in death by his parents, Servando and Maria P. Rodriguez.
Siblings, Ernestina Flores, Maria Arredondo, Angelina Rodriguez, Elida G. Campos, Evangelina Rodriguez, Norma Lobo,Rogelio Rodriguez and Rita Ortiz.
Parents-in-law, Celestino and San Juana.
Brothers-in-law, Samuel Solis and Raul Solis.

He is survived by his loving wife, of 51 years of marriage, GloriaS. Rodriguez.
Son, Marco A. (Melissa) Rodriguez.
Granddaughters, Bianca A. (Ezequiel Carillo) Cerda-Rodriguez, Ayssa R. Cerda-Rodriguez, Nia C. Cerda-Rodriguez and Liani V. Rodriguez.
Siblings, Alicia (Bob +) Gamez, Teodora (Everardo) Garcia, Juan Jose (Alicia) Rodriguez and Noemi (Alfredo) Soto.
In-laws, Joel (Armandina) Solis, Lilia (Boyd) Carter, Amelia (Ramon) Rios, Guillermina (Henry) Lerma, Leobardo Solis and Rene (Odilia) Solis.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church. Committal services and interment followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Juan J. Rodriguez, Joel Solis, Rene Solis, Luis Ortiz, Guadalupe A. Ortiz, Alfredo Soto Jr. and Ricardo Rodriguez.
