SIMON RODRIGUEZ Simon Rodriguez, 77, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at a local hospital. Mr. Rodriguez was born in Rodriguez, Nuevo Leon Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo, Texas for most of his life. He is preceded in death by his brother, Agapito Rodriguez. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years of marriage, Guadalupe C. Rodriguez. Children, John (Magdalena) Rodriguez, Guillermo (Guadalupe) Rodriguez, Cecilia Rodriguez, Guadalupe Rodriguez, Jimmy Rodriguez and Alejandra Rodriguez. 7 grandchildren 4 great-grandchildren. Siblings, Guillermina Vedia, Cornelio Rodriguez, Francisca Cruz, San Juana Alvarez and Felipe Rodriguez. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 12, 2012 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, October 13, 2012 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. at San Vicente De Paul Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
