SOCORRO R. GARZA

Socorro R. Garza, 60, passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.

Ms. Garza was born in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas Mexico and had been a resident of Laredo most of her life. She enjoyed life to the fullest. She enjoyed spending time with her loved ones. She also enjoyed gardening. Her love of succulents let her to have an extensive garden, which included all different types. Her green thumb allowed her to propagate all her succulents, which would then grow into new beautiful succulent gardens. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her son Juan Alberto Garza Jr. and by her father Rodolfo Reyna.

Surviving her is her spouse Juan Garza.

Her four children; Luz Elena Davis, Stephanie Lurence (Juan Flores) Garza, Juan Roberto (Krystal Aguilar) Garza and Janie Marie Garza.

Her mother, Piedad Reyna.

Grandchildren; Leilani Evette Alvarez and Stokely Davis.

Brothers and sisters; Rafael (Martha) Reyna, Rodolfo (San Juana) Reyna Jr., Roberto (Martha) Reyna, Jose Ramon (Rosa) Reyna, Piedad (Eleuterio Aguilera) Macias, Maria Antonia (David +) De Luna, Rodrigo (Diana) Reyna and Julia (Vidal Molina) Reyna.

Also surviving her are nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave . A Liturgy of the Word, officiated by Rev. Deacon Leonard Aguillon, was held in the funeral home chapel before committal services and interment which then followed in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
