STEVE R. STAKELY

Steve R. Stakely, 45, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.

Mr. Stakely was born in Vernon, Texas and was a lifelong resident of Laredo, Texas. Mr. Stakely was employed as a security Guard  and then as a home health care provider for many years. He was an avid collector. He especially enjoyed collecting cars.

His favorite pastime was spending time with his nieces and nephews. He also enjoyed finding information about his family tree and his family background.  He is and  will be dearly missed by all those whose lives he touched.

He is preceded in death by his parents, father, Charles A. Stakely and his mother, Maria Antonia Gonzalez  Stakely.

His uncle and aunts, Enrique Guerra, Maria Guerra, Lety Guerra, Juan Jose Gonzalez and Pepe Gonzalez.

He is survived by his siblings, Raul Stakely (Alicia), Alma Marie Stakely and Rosa Linda Rivera.

Nieces and nephews, Charles Stakely, David Stakely, Stephanie (Sotero) Zarzosa, Juan (Denise) Hernandez, Kimberly (Erik) Hernandez, Joe Villanueva, Stacy Villanueva, Priscilla Villanueva, Miguel Villanueva and Blanca Villanueva.

Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 5, 2022 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave . A religious service, officiated by Pastor Tony Gutierrez III, was held in the funeral home chapel before committal services and interment which followed at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Raul Stakely, Charles Stakely, Juan Hernandez, Joe Villanueva, Sotero Zarzosa, Juan Jose Gonzalez, Brayam Lara and Samuel Zarzosa.
