Susana Flores, 93, passed away peacefully at home, on November 27, 2019.
Mrs. Flores was born on November 1, 1926 and lived her early life in Veracruz, Mexico. She was the first of six children born to her loving parents, Rafael and Esperanza Liñero. While living in Veracruz, she met the love of her life in 1939 and married Jesus "Chucho" Flores on November 3rd, 1946. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and her priority throughout her life was family. She created a foundation for her children that included faith, love and the importance of family. Through the years, she loved cooking and shopping for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her whole life was about creating togetherness and happiness with family and friends. She was a member of the Lions club for over 20 years and enjoyed bowling in several leagues for over 10 years where she and "Chucho" cultivated many friendships.
She is survived by her daughter, Rosalinda and son in law, Jesus Rodriguez, her son, Jesus Flores and daughter-in-law, Josefina (Ruiz) and her son, Rafael Flores and daughter in law, Carmen (Guevara).
Also surviving her are nine grandchildren, Rene Raphael (Brandy), Mónica Ramírez (Reggie), Susy Matthews (Adam), Rafael de Jesús Flores (Patricia), Alejandro Flores (Perla), Susana Loría (Ivan), Rafael Flores (Jennifer), Ricardo Flores (Amy), Cristina Buchanan (Eric).
She also leaves 16 great grandchildren, as well as her brothers and sister, Rafael Liñero, Guillermo Liñero, and Edith Liñero who continue to reside in Veracruz with many other relatives who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Gildardo Liñero, Eduardo Liñero and her loving husband only 8 months ago.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, November 30, 2019 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Committal services will be held on a later date.
PALLBEARERS WERE: Rafael Flores Jr., Ricardo Flores, Rafael De Jesus Flores, Alejandro Flores, Ivan Loria, Rene Rodriguez, Adam Matthews and Reggie Ramirez.
HONORARY PALLBEARER: Eric Buchanan.
