SYLVIA PACHUCA
Sylvia Pachuca entered into the loving arms of the Lord on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 followig a courageous struggle with her health. Sylvia remained a source of positiveness, kindness, hope and grace. Her steadfast optimism and compassion touched the lives of all who had come to know her.
Born and raised in Laredo, Texas, Sylvia was the daughter of the late Francisco and Dominga Pachuca. She was a lifelong resident of Laredo, she attended Martin High School and was a proud graduate of the "Class of 1967". After her graduating high school, Sylvia worked as a Pre-school teacher aide for L.I.S.D. for numerous years.
She later was able to get the opportunity to work for Webb County and became a Deputy County Clerk.. She loved working with Webb County and after 30 years of service to Webb County and her community, she retired.
Sylvia beat cancer and was a cancer survivor, throughout her battle with cancer she never stopped working. Her faith in Christ was grand. She was a member of the "Adoracion Nocturna" at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. She was very devout to her parish and even became a member of the choir.
She loved to dance and on the weekends she could be seen tearing up the dance floor dancing to her favorite songs at "Danny's Restaurant".
Her magnetism was contagious and because of this developed many friends and friendships. She was very loving and compassionate. She assisted anyone who needed help and was always there for them. She will be greatly missed.
She is preceded in death by her brother Daniel Pachuca, and her sister, Anita Pachuca and by her parents, Francisco and Dominga Pachuca.
She is survived by her son, Ruben Pachuca, granddaughter, Cassandra Hernandez and her great-granddaughter Ariel Pottin, whom she enjoyed spending time with.
Her siblings, Maria Isabel Pachuca, Francisco (Rosalinda) Pachuca Jr., Maria Alicia Pachuca, Rosa Irma (Anastacio) Montiel Jr., + Anita Pachuca, +Daniel Pachuca, Graciela P. Saenz and Alberto Pachuca.
Also surviving her are numerous nieces, nephews far and near whom she loved dearly, other family members and many, many friends.
A Heartfelt gratitude to her good friend who assisted her in her time of need Ms. Irma Morales and to Father Davis and of course her many friends that kept her in their prayers. Sylvia was truly loved.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 18, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and a Rosary will be officiated at 7:00 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Funeral Services will begin on Monday, January 19, 2026 departing in procession at 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home Chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will then follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
