TERESA P. STEED

Teresa P Steed, 86, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2022.  Mrs. Steed was born and raised in Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Agustin and Angelita Puente, her sisters, Consuelo and Ester Puente, and brother

Reverends Guadalupe (Petra) Puente.

She was a dedicated Special Education teacher with the Laredo Independent School District for over 40 years.  After her retirement from LISD,  Mrs. Steed continued to worked as Coordinator of the Adult ESL Program at the Laredo College.

She led a very active life and was a talented pianist and organist.  Mrs. Steed loved to play gospel music.  She was the pianist and organist at First Assembly of God Church for many years.

She loved to have all her family together especially during  the holidays.  She loved to cook great main meals with different and tasty side dishes. Her grandchildren especially loved her homemade pancakes.

Mrs. Steed is survived by her loving husband, James Madison Steed, daughter, Elisabeth S. Benavides, and son, James J. (Yvonne) Steed.  Grandchildren,

Nick, Brady and Victoria Benavides, Madison and Emma Steed.

Great-grandson,  Cory Steed.

Also surviving her are nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Laredo First Assembly of God Church,  6103 McPherson Road.  A religious service, officiated by Pastor Greg Liles, was held before committal services and interment which followed at the Laredo City Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Nick Benavides, Nicky Benavides, Madison Steed, Sam Puente, Beto Benavides, Bobby Puente, David Puente and Brady Benavides.
