Tirso Martinez, 81, passed away on Saturday, August 22, 2026 in Laredo, Texas.
Mr. Martinez was born in Bustamante, N.L., Mexico and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Francisca Martinez.
Sister, Josefina Bernal and Maria Garcia.
Son-in-law, Benito Renteria.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 62 years of marriage, Norma P. Martinez.
Children, Elisa (Ricardo) Quintanilla, Marta (Luis) Sifuentes, Diana Renteria, Tirso (Delilah) Martinez Jr. and Normita Martinez.
18 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.
Sister, San Juana (Rodolfo) Lopez and Guadalupe Gallegos.
Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. at the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. at San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2026. Holy Mass will be celebrated at Mother Cabrini Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Laredo City Cemetery.
