TOMAS MEJIA JR.

Tomas Mejia Jr., 79, passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas.

Mr. Mejia was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. He had been employed as Chief of operations with the Laredo Independent School District Printing department for over 20 plus years up until his retirement. He spent the rest of his retirement enjoying his family, he will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his first wife of 33 years Rosa Maria Mejia and by his late wife of 20 years Lilia Mejia, his mother Aurelia Mejia and his father Tomas Mejia Sr.

He is survived by his children, Rosalinda (Derek) Morgan, Laura (John Elizondo) Mejia and Tomas (Griselda Carreon) Mejia III.

His Grandchildren, Stephanie L. Gaytan, Katherine M. Gaytan, Aileen M. Gaytan, Jon Thomas Elizondo, Alexis Marie Mejia, Nathan Giovanni Mejia, Travis Jordan Mejia and Kevin Aiden Mejia.

Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends.

In Lieu of flowers the family would appreciate donations be made to the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons on Mr. Mejia's behalf.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, March 30, 2023 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. A religious service was held in the funeral home chapel before committal services and interment which followed in the Laredo City Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Tomas Mejia III, Derek Morgan, JT Elizondo, Jose Gabriel Melendez Jr., Chet Vines, Martin Louis Acosta, Jessie R. Melendez and Nicolas Salinas.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.
