TOMASA A. MARTINEZ

Tomasa A. Martinez, 76, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at a local hospital.

Ms. Martinez was born in Cuidad Guerrero Tamaulipas but had been a lifelong resident of Laredo.

She had  obtained her medical license in Mexico and practiced for numerous years, she also obtained her teaching license. When she moved to Laredo she then became employed with United Independent School District as a teacher and retired after her  18 years of service.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Tomas Maria Martinez Rivera and Teresa Navarro Sanchez De Martinez and by her sister Maria Aminta Martinez.

She is survived by her sisters and brother; Maria Teresa Martinez, Tomas Javier Martinez and Berta Martinez.

Her nieces and nephews, Maria Teresa Martinez, Rocio Martinez and Javier Martinez.

Grand niece and nephew; Sofia Arriola and Carlos Arriola.

Sister-in-law; Rocio Martinez.

Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, November 10, 2023 departing from the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. Holy Mass was celebrated at St. Jude Catholic Church. Committal services and interment  then followed in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

PALLBEARERS WERE: Alejandro Cervantes, Javier Martinez, Guillermo Perez and Adolfo Gonzalez.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.

TOMASA A. MARTÍNEZ

Tomasa A. Martínez, de 76 años, falleció el domingo 5 de noviembre de 2023 en un hospital local.

La Sra. Martínez nació en Ciudad Guerrero Tamaulipas pero había residido en Laredo toda su vida.

Obtuvo su licencia médica en México y ejerció durante numerosos años, también obtuvo su licencia de maestra. Cuando se mudó a Laredo, trabajó como maestra en el Distrito Escolar Independiente Unido y se jubiló después de 18 años de servicio.

Le precedieron en la muerte sus padres, el Sr. y la Sra. Tomás María Martínez Rivera y Teresa Navarro Sánchez De Martínez y su hermana María Aminta Martínez.

Le sobreviven sus hermanas y su hermano; María Teresa Martínez, Tomás Javier Martínez y Berta Martínez.

Sus sobrinas y sobrinos, María Teresa Martínez, Rocío Martínez y Javier Martínez.

Sobrina nieta y sobrino; Sofía Arriola y Carlos Arriola.

Cuñada; Rocío Martínez.

También le sobreviven muchos otros familiares y muchos amigos.

Servicios funebres se llevaron a cabo el Viernes, 10 de Noviembre 2023 despidiendose de las Capillas Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside, 800 Boston St. y San Bernardo Ave. La Santa Misa se celebro en la Iglesia Católica St. Jude. Luego seguieron los servicios de sepelio y el entierro en el Cementerio Católico del Calvario.
