Obituary

VALENTE ESPARZA
Valente Esparza, 83, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2017 at a local hospital.
Mr. Esparza was born in Mason, Texas and had been a long life resident of Laredo, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Regino and Paula Esparza.
Brothers, Pedro Esparza, Samuel Esparza, Filemon Esparza and Constantino Esparza.
Sisters, Marcelina Gonzalez and Lucia Martinez.
He is survived by his loving wife, of 62 years of marriage, Adela O. Esparza.
Children, Marie G. Esparza (Raul Villarreal), Adela (Carlos) Cuellar, Patricia Gonzalez, Valente (Martha) Esparza Jr., Jesus (Sandra) Esparza and Paula Esparza.
16 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Brother, Elias Esparza.
Sister, Guadalupe Esparza.
Nephew, Jesus (Doris) Gonzalez and niece, Genara Salinas.
Also surviving him are other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
