VALERIE CANO Valerie Cano, 23, passed away Friday, Sept 30, 2011. Miss Cano was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. She is a graduate of J.W. Nixon High School "Class of 2006". was peceded in death by her paternal grandfather Guadalupe Cano, her maternal grandparents Hernan and Chonita Cortez, her aunt Dianita Cortez, cousin Juan Martinez and also by Roberto Oviedo. She is survived by her father Jesus (Gloria) Cano Sr. Her mother Rosa Elda Cortez. Her brothers and sisters; Jesus (Claudia) Cano Jr. and Jennifer Cortez. Nephew; Jesus Cano III. Niece: Darlene Garcia Paternal Grandmother: Leonor Cano Maternal aunts and uncles: Irma Lugo, Hernan and Rosa Maria Cortez, Ruth Lopez, David (Carolina) Cortez, Linda and Macario Garcia, Juan and Minerva Cortez, Noemi and Raul Degollado, Rose andDAniel Sanchez, and Martha and Alex Rivera. Paternal aunts and uncles; Helen and Marciano Martinez, Marie and Jose Luque, Lucy and Salvador Gonzalez, Joe and Beth Cano, Rudy and Sandy Cano and Rosie and Ed Zimmerman. Also surviving her are numerous other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Oct 04, 2011 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez & Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. Funeral services will being at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct 05, 2011 departing from the funeral home chapel. A religious service will be held at 11 a.m. at Templo El Buen Pastor with Rev. Guadalupe Puente, Jr. officiating. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Laredo City Cemetery.
