Veronica Valadez Martinez, 70, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026.

Mrs. Valadez was born in Laredo, Texas and was a resident of Laredo, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Teofilo Valadez and Maria de la Luz Valadez.
Brother, Raul Valadez.
Sister, Adriana Valadez.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 53 years of marriage, Oscar Martinez.
Children, Clara (Javier†) Degollado, Veronica Martinez, Monica (Kyle) Osterholt, Karina Martinez, Selina Martinez and Oscar Martinez Jr.
Siblings, Eduardo (Elvia) Valadez, Sylvia (Leopoldo) Lecea, Jorge Valadez, Enrique (Ana) Valadez and David Valadez.
Beloved Aunt, Maria de Lourdes Hernandez.
Sister-in-Law, Leticia Valadez.

Also surviving her are numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and a vigil of the deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernnadez, Lopez and Sons, Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. on San Bernardo Ave. Committal services will be held on a later date.

The family will be present for an Intention of the Deceased that will be celebrated with a Mass on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at 6 p.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2219 Galvestone St. Laredo, Texas 78043.
