VICTOR MANUEL CRUZ Victor Manuel Cruz, 51, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at a local hospital. Mr. Cruz was born in Laredo, Texas and had been a life long resident. He is preceded in death by his father, Miguel Cruz Sr. Brothers, Jesus Cruz and Guillermo Cruz. He is survived by his loving wife Rosa Gomez. Mother, Elsa Ofelia Cruz. Brothers and sisters, Miguel Cruz, Consuelo Castillo, Ricardo Cruz, Amelia Person, Jose Ramon (Elvira) Cruz, Norma (Alberto) Ruiz, Lydia Martinez and Rosa ( Isidoro) Gallegos. Also surviving him are nephews, nieces, and other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 from 4 to 9 p.m. and a Vigil of the Deceased will be held at 7 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons East Chapel, 4500 Thomas Ave. Funeral services will begin at 9:20 a.m. on Saturday, April 11, 2015 departing from the funeral home chapel. Holy Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at San Jose Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will follow at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
