William Norman Clark
William Norman Clark, de 81 años, falleció en su casa rodeado de su amada familia el viernes 18 de agosto de 2023.
El Sr. Clark nació y creció en Laredo, Texas. Sirvió en la Fuerza Aérea de los Estados Unidos desde 1960 hasta su baja honorable en 1964. Sirvió en la 306th Bomb Wing de la Base de la Fuerza Aérea McCoy. Después de su gira, regresó a Laredo y fue empleado del Laredo National Bank como vicepresidente durante varios años y luego como gerente general de Blazer Financial Services antes de su jubilación. El velorio se llevará a cabo el viernes 25 de agosto de 2023 de 4:00 p.m. a las 9:00 p.m. en las capillas funerarias Hernández, López e Hijos, ubicadas en 800 Boston St. y San Bernardo Ave. Se celebrará un Rosario a las 7:00 p.m. Los servicios funerarios comenzarán partirá un cortejo fúnebre at las 8:30 a.m. sabado 26 de agosto de 2023 saliendo desde la capilla de la funeraria. Se celebrará una Santa Misa a las 9:00 a.m. en la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe. Luego seguirán los servicios de compromiso y entierro en el cementerio de la ciudad de Laredo, con la presentación de la bandera de los Estados Unidos y todos los honores militares presentados por la Fuerza Aérea de los Estados Unidos.

WILLIAM NORMAN CLARK
William Norman Clark, 81 passed away on August 18th, 2023 surrounded by his family in Laredo, Texas.
William was born on July 24th, 1942 in Laredo and he graduated from Martin High School in 1960. William was a model for Joe Brand in High School and in the DE Club. William in listed in Air Force in 1960 and served until 1964 and was stationed at the DMZ Seoul Korea and Fort McCoy in Florida. H was honorably discharged in 1964. When he returned to Laredo he started working for Community Finance and later moved on to work for Blazer Financial for 42 years. During that time he also opened a hardware store and a restaurant.
After he retired from Blazer Financial, William opened Clark Finance in 1996 and he later sold the business.
After that he went to work for Laredo National Bank in 1999. Mr. Clark was promoted to Vice-President at the Laredo National Bank (South) from 2001 to 2004, after that he retired.
Mr. Clark is preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Henry Dewey Clark and Irene Vargas Clark.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 36 years of marriage Joaquina Elsa Covarrubias Clark.
His children, Henry Dewey Clark Covarrubias, William Norman Clark, Joseph Clark, Israel Covarrubias and Myda Guadalupe Covarrubias.
Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Sister, Doris Blake.
Also surviving him are numerous other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Funeral Chapels, located at 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave. A Rosary will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin on at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023 departing from the funeral home chapel. A Holy Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Committal services and interment will then follow in the Laredo City Cemetery, with presentation of the United States Flag and full military honors presented by the United States Air Force.
Pallbearers were; William Clark, Joseph Clark, Henry Clark, Cesar Sanchez and Ignacio Garcia.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hernandez, Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels, 800 Boston St. and San Bernardo Ave.
